How It Works

The ShadowCasters work best when used in conjunction with harder light sources, which result in crisp, clean shadows. The closer the gobo is to your subject, the sharper the shadows will appear. If you want the shadows to appear a little softer, move the gobo away from your subject or use a slightly softer light source for shadows with more of a feathered edge. You can also use them with softer light sources or further away from your subject for more subtle shadow effects.
