One Mic Fits All

The UMic82 shotgun condenser microphone features four selectable audio pick-up patterns, enabling you to customise the microphone to your specific needs. You can select between omni-directional, stereo, bi-directional, and cardioid.

Stereo Mode 

Stereo mode records the left and right audio channels simultaneously, producing a more natural sounding and immersive audio playback.

Bi-Directional 

Bi-directional mode captures crisp and clear audio from the front and the back whilst rejecting noise coming in from the sides. This mode is perfect for any scenario where two people are conversing, such as in a two-person podcast on an interview.

Omni-Directional

Omni-directional mode picks up audio from all directions equally. This mode is ideal for times when you want to capture ambient sounds or have multiple people recording together

Cardioid Mode

Cardioid mode picks up sound from directly in front of the microphone whilst reducing noise from all other directions. This mode is best used for single-person recordings, such as podcasts, live streaming, and recording voiceover.

Adjustable Flexibility

The Godox UMic82’s base enables you to adjust the angle of the mi 180°. Simply loosen the thumb screw at the side, adjust it to your liking, and then tighten it again to secure the mic in place. 

Intuitive Controls 

The UMic82 USB studio condenser microphone features an easy-to-use interface with three control dials and a single button. The Mute button enables you to instantly pause and resume your recording. The Pattern control dial enables you to select between the four audio capture patterns (as mentioned above). There are also Volume and Gain controls to help prevent your order from peaking and getting distorted.
